 If you are looking for an eye-catching tribal decoration or weapon display, here it is! This is a dynamic shield of colorful geometric design. It is tanned, scraped hide with the tribal design painted on the reddish background. This shield was stretched tight over a wood frame and then allowed to dry and harden in the sun. It is bowed into a curve of about 6 inches.
I have several of these shields and the painted design on each one is slightly different. So the one you receive may be slightly different from the one that is photographed here.
This is a large African shield, measuring approx. 30-32 inches in length x 23 inches wide.
