Click to enlargeArrows with Metal Tips

Featured here are two metal-tipped arrows. These were made by one of the Mijakenda tribes down on the Indian Ocean in the country of Kenya. The Mijakenda were not a warlike people so they do not have complicated weapons. The most dangerous weapon was the bow and arrow. The arrows were usually poisoned during war times, so that anyone hit by one would be killed by the poison, if not by the wound itself. These arrows were also used for hunting wild animals. The arrows are made from bamboo with metal tips. There are 2 arrows included here and they are 24 inches long. (These are not poisoned).
