These little figurines are very unique in that they are made from the bark of the banana tree. As the banana tree grows it “sheds” its’ bark which comes in many different shades of brown, black and tan. We have found that the best artisans that do this work come from the country of Rwanda in central Africa. These little figurines could be displayed either in a china cabinet or put on a table with tooth picks in the little baskets. These toothpick holders that we offer may differ slightly with the baskets either in the hands or on the backs. Some have umbrellas and others do not. These are really cute and make a real conversation piece around the table. This item is 5" tall and 3" wide. |
