This is a finely carved mask from the Guro tribe from the Ivory Coast. This is in the range of 50-60 years old. It has the classical characteristics that the Guro often include in their human-face-style masks: a long face, prominent forehead, and elongated nose. This one has an elaborate carving of two-prong horns with a bird figure (Ibis-like) sitting prominently on the top. There are two holes on either side of the mask, so the wearer could add two string bands to enable him to wear the mask in the dance
