For all the doll collectors out there we are now offering several types of African dolls. The dolls that we have are made in Kenya, East Africa. These dolls for the most part, are made by either the Masai or Akamba women. Displayed here is a Masai mother with her child tied to her back. The faces have been embroidered and the dresses are of colorful ethnic design. This Masai doll is also very unique in that it has long beaded earrings that are very traditional amongst the Masai people. Masai women view the shape of their heads as a beauty item, and so shave their heads.
This particular doll is 14" tall and 9" wide.
